Tonight all my friends performed one of my favorite shows. I spent four months watching them rehearse, miss lines, laugh, stress out, and grow close. I made a ton of new friends, remember the best times and the worst, and helped them out with everything. I did that for four months. And I had to miss the performance. I’ll hear about it, and I can buy a dvd of it, but it won’t be the same. I was looking forward to standing backstage at the end of the opening number and cheering along with the audience. I wanted to be there for every cheer ad laugh. I wanted to sing along backstage and remember. I was looking forward to being there after the finale and hugging each and everyone one of them. Instead, I performed my last orchestra ever. It was ok, but my mind wasn’t completely into it.
The cast had become my family even more than my actual family. I love them so much, and I will miss them terribly. I now have two sets of memories from the same show. I’m already crying.
I love you guys. I can’t say that enough.
See you on Sunday <3
